Planning Breast Augmentation around Family Life in Alexandria

Being a mother requires a number of personal sacrifices. Looking and feeling good about yourself should not have to be among them. Many mothers in and around Alexandria look to breast augmentation to address issues such as volume loss, asymmetry, and shape differences following pregnancy and nursing. But planning breast augmentation around family life does require a few additional considerations.

Planning for Breast Augmentation

One of the biggest things to keep in mind prior to your Alexandria breast augmentation procedure is recovery. This is particularly important if you have small children who require constant supervision or care.

You will need to allow yourself a few days of complete rest following your procedure. Make sure you arrange for a spouse, friend, or family member to take care of household and childcare needs during this time. You will need continued help with more demanding physical tasks for a few weeks after your procedure, but should be able to resume most normal family tasks within a week. Giving yourself time to rest will allow for a faster recovery and can greatly reduce your risk for complications following your procedure.

During your breast augmentation consultation, Dr. Desman will be happy to discuss planning for your recovery in greater detail.
