Additionally, Dr. Desman has an interest in working with victims of domestic violence, specifically young men and women who are striving to remove the physical evidence resulting from an abusive childhood.
On a more global level, Dr. Desman has traveled to the Dominican Republic to perform surgery on impoverished children with serious birth defects such as cleft lip and cleft palate.
